A cultural outing through the history of the conquest and colonization of the Río de la Plata. Discover the charms of Colonia, the unique city of Portuguese origin in the Banda Oriental, now the República Oriental del Uruguay.
The excursion allows you to observe the industrial production of cattle, our introduction into the global economy. We will visit the special city of Nueva Helvecia as well as the Colonia Suiza before arriving in Colonia del Sacramento.
Colonia del Sacramento is located on the northern bank of the Río de la Plata, 177 kilometers from Montevideo and 45 kilometers from Buenos Aires. Its Barrio Histórico was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in December 1995. The Portuguese city plan of the Barrio Histórico differed from the model that the Spanish law of the West Indies required. Its characterized by its unmistakable walls and defensive bastions.
We will also visit the Rambla Costanera, la Plaza de Toros Real de San Carlos, la Iglesia de San Benito and the residential neighborhoods of the city.
We will do a completely different and exclusive walking tour to get to know and enjoy the magic of this environment.
When the tour is finished, we will return to your hotel.
